Abstract
Tracks and Trails 2024. 4 episodes x25 mins. Written and Directed by Frank Delaney –
Tracks and Trails is an ongoing long-term broadcast research project that questions through practice research ‘how broadcast influence, impact and change how a community or individuals view, connect with, perceive and interact with their environment, locally and nationally, thus positively impacting tourism, the economy as well as positively impacting individual health and well-being. This also feeds into a bigger research question of ‘How can broadcast create measurable, positive impact on economy, employment, health, tourism, culture and education?’. Complementing and adding to existing theories around placemaking and specifically creative placemaking this practice-based research asks how can broadcast not only influence in this space but also create, enhance and/or redefine places.
