Abstract

This thesis is focused on assessing the differences in behavioural problems in preterm and low birth weight children over time, and to highlight potential risk factors that mediate any associations.

The thesis is split into 3 sections, assessing infancy, childhood, and early adolescence. It was designed to allow investigation into if there are differences between preterm/low birth weight and typical children, and at what point do these differences occur, and how these change over time.
