Enantioselective synthesis of C-N atropisomers and investigation of their properties and potential applications

Abstract

The synthesis of a novel class of atropisomeric N-arylquinolinium salts through the functionalization of neutral axially chiral quinolin-2-ones via a stereoretentive nucleophilic aromatic substitution process.

Additionally, a method for photocatalytic E-Z isomerization tandem atropselective Pd-catalyzed cyclization yielded atropisomeric N-arylquinolin-2-ones.

Thesis is embargoed until 31 July 2027.
