Abstract
The growth of Irish-Medium (IM) education in Northern Ireland has coincided with increasing numbers of children identified as having Special Educational Needs (SEN) across the education system. However, limited research exists on the views of Educational Psychologists and teachers supporting children with SEN in the IM sector. A mixed-methods design was employed to explore this area. The findings suggest that while professional perceptions are generally positive, substantial structural challenges may exist. Implications for professional practice are discussed.Thesis is embargoed until 31 December 2028.
