Abstract

According to the World Health Organization report on world cancer trends, breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women (25.2% of all new cases in women, equating to 1.677 million worldwide annually) (Ferlay et al., 2012). Despite the majority of people with a breast cancer diagnosis surviving a minimum of 5 years after diagnosis (Bray, Ren, Masuyer, & Ferlay, 2013) globally, breast cancer accounts for the loss of 15.127 years of life on average (Soerjomatarm et al., 2012).
