Abstract
This research in this thesis investigated the potential value of common photoactive MOFs for the degradation of herbicides in water in the natural environment. The aim of the thesis is to investigate photo-degradation of multi persistent herbicide, pollutants2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid (MCPA) and its degradation product 4-chloro-2-methylphenol (CMP) by common MOFs and comparing it with other commercial photocatalysts. In addition, exploring the feasibility of applying MOF-based materials under real sunlight irradiation.Thesis is embargoed until 31 December 2027.
