Abstract
This thesis demonstrates that microwave-induced in situ amorphisation is a promising method for formulating paediatric mini tablets containing poorly water-soluble drugs. It investigated the effects of tablet size and weight, addressed deformation issues, and provided mechanistic insight into the use of salt-based systems. The findings highlight the potential of this approach to improve drug solubility and stability, offering a novel pathway for personalised paediatric drug delivery.Thesis is embargoed until 31 July 2030.
