Abstract

This thesis is an examination of the notational styles of specific scribes found in the Edward Bunting manuscripts. Vol I of the submission aims to evaluate notational styles of select individuals, James Cody, Mary Ann McCracken, George Petrie and Edward Bunting. Vol II contains appendices to the music notated in the manuscripts.
