Abstract

The first chapter of this thesis is an umbrella review which synthesizes and categorizes recommendations for adapting therapy for individuals affected by cognitive impairment in neurological conditions. The findings are discussed alongside implications and recommendations for future research.

The second chapter details an empirical study which aimed to collate common adaptations to psychological therapy for cognitive impairment as determined by current clinical practise. As such, in phase one, we conducted semi-structured interviews and used an online survey in phase two. The findings are discussed alongside implications and recommendations for future research.

Thesis is embargoed until 31st December 2027.
