    Interests

I am an NMC registered teacher and have completed my PGCTHCP and Masters degree with distinction. My main teaching responsibilities include teaching in the Dimensions of Care and Care Delivery modules in the pre-registration nursing programme. These modules primarily focus on developing and integrating student knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology and associated nursing assessment and care of the adult patient. I am also involved in the facilitation of simulation learning for both pre-registration nursing students and Interprofessional Education for both medical and nursing students.  I have also contributed to teaching on post-registration modules in the Intensive Care Nursing programme.

My key areas of interest include care of the acutely ill, medication safety and developing teaching strategies which engage the student and facilitate learning.
