Áine Doran (MSc, QUB) is a PhD student in Economics at Queen's. Her PhD entitled 'A Reversal of Fortunes: A Study of 19th Century Poverty' studies poverty in the years preceeding and following the Irish Famine. Previously, Áine worked as a reseach assistant on the Irish Famine Project studying the 'Causes and Consequences of the Great Irish Famine.'

Áine holds a BSc in Economics and Finance with First Class Honours, and a MSc in Economics, both from Queen's University Belfast. She was awarded a DfE Studentship to undertake a PhD in Economics at Queen's Management School.
