Telehealth technology is now becoming more frequently used with families living in rural areas who do not have access to professionals trained in the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Although there is research to support the use of telehealth technologies, there are not sufficient data on their effectiveness, cost-benefit relation and training procedures that lead on high procedural fidelity. This research project sets to investigate the impact of telehealth on the effectiveness of ABA-based interventions, the associated costs and their comparison to traditional means as well as effective training procedures that lead to high procedural fidelity of behaviour analytic interventions. The evidence gathered will enable the use of telehealth for the improvement of the outcomes of children diagnosed with ASD.
