    Muhammad Ali Babar Abbasi Joined the Centre of Wireless Innovation (CWI) at the Queen's University Belfast in 2017 as a Postdoc Research Fellow. He completed his PhD in 2017 under the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship from Frederick University, Cyprus (European). He received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, and received B.S. degree in electrical (telecommunication) engineering from the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2013 and 2011 respectively.   

    His current research interests include applied electromagnetics, mm-wave antennas for massive MIMO, phased arrays, lens based beamformers, passive and active antennas for biomedical devices, wireless sensors, and reconfigurable RF electronics. He was a recipient of COST VISTA short-term Scientific Mission grant in 2016 and was also listed as IET-young-professionals in 2017.
