My research interests are in translating and interpreting in disaster response. My PhD thesis is on understanding and outlining the products and processes of translation in the immediate response to sudden onset mass-fatality incidents. I am supervised by Professor David Johnston and Dr. Sue-Ann Harding.
I studied translation and applied languages at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh from 2012-2016. I wrote my dissertation at the University of Heidelberg which was supervised by Kerstin Pfeiffer. I returned to Belfast to study translation on the MA at Queens and started my PhD thesis in 2017.
